Acetone (propan-2-one, dimethyl ketone) is the simplest ketone. This ACS Reagent Grade solvent conforms to the purity standards of the American Chemical Society Committee on Analytical Reagents. Highly volatile and fully miscible with water, ethanol and diethyl ether, it is a workhorse solvent for synthesis, extraction and glassware rinsing.
